Regarding moving your stop to breakeven once proven right, how meticulous are you with your position sizing while pyramiding?
Are you very careful with your adds to make sure that your new average and stop out point will be a significant area on the chart (above a recent pivot, key indicator, etc.),? Or are you more aggressive with your adds and use a tighter stop while being willing to stop out breakeven and re-attack higher if it sets up again?
The surfing analogy resonates but from experience I know it's hard to wait for that perfect wave but I like the GNS example you provided in which you dipped your toes in with $25K and then leveraged in as the market proved you right.

the first one is right. I instinctively by now add the right amount to align with an area unlikely to be broken and that has liquidity.
